Things to Do

With so many fantastic and fun things to do in Scottsdale, you will be busy all year long enjoying everything the vibrant city has to offer!

Spring Training Cactus LeagueSome of the most popular annual events in Scottsdale are the many Major League Baseball spring training games. Each spring, thousands flock from around the United States to Salt River Fields to catch a spring training game and enjoy a hot dog and an ice cold beverage while the weather is still cool. Several other ball field venues in the valley are also spring training homes to the San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks. To augment the baseball spring training experience, Scottsdale Historical Museum creates a fun and unique exhibit annually that features memorabilia and photographs from the early days of baseball that took place in Scottsdale Stadium.

The Scottsdale Art Walk is a engaging and unique way to experience art in the historic Scottsdale Arts District. Every Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. the public is invited to the free event that takes place along Main Street from Scottsdale Road, west to Goldwater Boulevard and on Marshall Way north of Indian School Road to Fifth Avenue. Restaurants, museums and free trolley and/or horse-drawn carriage rides are available during ArtWalk.

Scottsdale Art WalkThere is simply no better way to experience the true culture of the Scottsdale Arts District than during ArtWalk. Some galleries offer light refreshments, feature live music, have artist demonstrations and extend special incentives during this event. In some instances, individual gallery owners will be available to discuss the works in the gallery and answer questions. We encourage our website visitors to get out and experience the art and culture that the fine establishments in the Scottsdale Gallery Association have to offer.

Another unique experience offered in Old Town Scottsdale is a Segway tour of the area. Since 2005, Segway of Scottsdale has given residents and visitors a great way to see the most exciting shopping and arts area of Scottsdale. Always focused on customer service, safety and an outstanding tour experience, Segway of Scottsdale limits its group sizes to eight or less people.
